ORLANDO, FL (May 5, 2020) — Ingenity (a subsidiary of Watershed Innovation), a recipient of the 2020 Miami International Miami Boat Show Innovation Award, was selected as a 2020 Top Product by Boating Industry.

There were over 175 qualified submissions from manufacturers across every segment of the industry for consideration. These Top 50 Products were selected by the editorial staff at Boating Industry. Products were based on impact on the industry, innovation and how they advance the product category or creates a new segment all together.

Ingenity was chosen for its electric drive system powered by a unique battery. With 124 kWh of stored energy, the Ingenity battery allows for 2 to 3 hours of typical watersports use and can be recharged in 5 hours.

It has cells from top tier suppliers and the latest in cooling and safety technology. The battery management system is designed for thousands of cycles which equates to many years of use powering a boat.

Sean Marrero, President of Ingenity stated, “Ingenity continues to receive incredible response because there is nothing else like it on the market.  Creating a better tomorrow today is our goal, and there is no better example of this than our new battery.  Our small team has really worked hard and appreciates the recognition.  I could not be prouder of them!”

With over 200 kW of peak power and near-instantaneous torque, performance is very similar to its gas counterpart. The electronics are also tightly integrated. The boat is purposely designed to deliver everything customers expect from a premium watersports boat.
