Centurion Salute 2 Service Will be Paying it Forward at 2022 World Wake Surfing Championship

Sep 23, 2022 | Centurion

Mooresville, NC (September 23, 2022) – Operation Wake Surf (OWS) combined with our Centurion Salute to Service (S2S) project, will be joining the party at the 2022 Centurion World Wake Surfing Championships yet again. If you aren’t familiar with S2S, we’d like to familiarize you with the incredible opportunity that this project gives to servicemen and women, first responders, and military veterans.

Salute to Service provides an unforgettable and unique experience to the first responders and military personnel who keep our communities and country safe. We use the healing power of water, camaraderie and mentorship through compassionate coaches who share their passion for wake surfing with first responders and military personnel. The joy that comes from time on the water during these experiences invariably instills confidence, a sense of community and delivers the respect they deserve.

“As a Correct Craft Company, we are charged to ‘Make Life Better’, but just as important is recognizing those who make our lives better,” explained Paul Singer, President of Centurion & Supreme Boats. “Our goal with the Centurion Salute to Service project is a gesture of gratitude towards service men and women in an effort to improve their lives as they do ours.”

The Salute to Service campaign has had dramatic impacts in the lives of our heroes, delivering meaning and purpose to men and women who may have lost those feelings through their time inservice. OWS traveled over 25 thousand miles across the country last year and put on 23 events in 13 states, teaching 324 heroes how to wake surf. Not only is the experience of being on the water cleansing, but the relationships and conversations that are sparked from the time with our heroes is why we do it, according to Robby Maschhaupt and Ken Scribner, two of the team members from OWS.

Robby adds, “I did this to help change the lives of people who have helped us in our communities, but shortly into this project, I realized it was changing my life.” We couldn’t agree more, and anyone who knows about the work that this group does, knows that this is true! It’s hard to put into words what S2S is doing for our country’s heroes and communities, so come out to the WWSC on Lake Norman, NC from Oct. 6-8th and see for yourself the impact that S2S is making.

You can also follow OWS and S2S on social media and stay up to date on all things new!
