ORLANDO, FL (May 22, 2018) – Today, at the Correct Craft and Nautique factory, employees were honored to hear former CIA agent Michele Rigby Assad tell her story over lunch.

Assad spent a decade undercover serving as a Directorate of Operations in Iraq and other top-secret locations.

Through her counterterrorism experience Assad found her next mission after leaving the CIA, extending relief to persecuted Christians in Iraq. As seen on 20/20 Michele and her husband, also a former CIA agent, helped to successfully evacuate oppressed people from Northern Iraq.

“My life’s mission is to inspire others to find their place of purpose by following their passions, getting out of their comfort zones, and doing hard things. The opportunities that scare us the most are the places in which we discover who we really are and how we can best impact the world,” stated Assad.

Assad, grew up in Central Florida and is currently a resident of the area.  She now provides training for CIA officers, and speaks to diverse audiences to share about her experiences from the Middle East. Her book Breaking Cover is in stores now.

Correct Craft President/CEO Bill Yeargin stated, “Our team was thrilled to have Michele visit with us today and share her incredible experiences. Michele’s story of courage and faith was inspiring to our team and we were honored to have her spend time with us.”
