SWEETWATER, TN (July 18, 2022) — Merritt Precision Technologies celebrated 2000 days without a lost time accident in their Tennessee location. From new hires to those who have worked at the facility for over 20 years, this milestone was achieved because of the team’s intentional focus on safety.
The Merritt Precision team uses various tools to ensure a safe work environment, including safety huddles, departmental walkthroughs, and specific goals to strive for even greater future success. Correct Craft CEO Bill Yeargin visited the team to speak about growing a safety mindset and learning culture at their barbeque lunch celebration.
In addition to expanding capacity in its core, large-format robotic milling business in Florida, Merritt Precision has recently extended its service offering to include 3-D scanning, surface modeling, tooling, and 3-D printing. Currently, the Tennessee location has 50 employees and is growing with many employment opportunities.
“The most important thing we do every day is getting home safely so we can do our number one jobs at home’” stated Sean Marrero, President of Merritt Precision’s parent company, Watershed Innovation. “A decade without a lost time accident is an incredible achievement, and you don’t achieve milestones like this without a culture of taking care of yourself and those around you. I could not be more proud of our team’s enduring focus on safety.”
