ORLANDO, FL (September 28, 2021) – Paul Singer is recognized as the 2021 Mover and Shaker of the Year by Boating Industry Magazine.
If you look up Culture Warrior in the dictionary, next to it you will see a picture of Paul Singer. Paul is the President of Centurion & Supreme Boats and has led an incredible transformation of his company and influenced countless people, companies, and boaters around the world.
Correct Craft looks for character, competency, and chemistry in its leaders and Correct Craft quickly realized that Paul has all three, in spades. Paul took over Centurion & Supreme in early 2016 and the first few months were challenging after the recession.
At the start, Paul began investing heavily in his people, improving benefits before the company could really afford to do so. The team started reading books together and developing plans to improve. He shared his goals with the team and regularly updated them on their progress. And, Paul committed that every employee would benefit financially from bonuses if the company succeeded, a regular Correct Craft practice we were excited to implement at Centurion & Supreme.
Designed to significantly improve performance and results, Paul helped the team execute a new strategic plan. They focused on developing a culture of continuous improvement and invested heavily in new products and processes with an emphasis on being both right and fast. Paul revamped the customer service function, implementing a new customer-first approach.
Paul has advanced the boating industry largely through his development of people. He believes empowerment is so valuable that it is better to invest in people and have them leave than not invest and have them stay. He is never selfish with his support. It is his superpower and single biggest accomplishment, developing others. The above just scratches the surface of the culture Paul developed at Centurion & Supreme and the results have been astonishing.
Bill Yeargin, President and CEO of Correct Craft stated, “Most people that know Paul would do just about anything for him because of how he has made their lives better. Paul will be the first to insist that the transformation at Centurion & Supreme was not just him, it was a spectacular team effort. It is amazing what a team can do when they focus on culture.” Yeargin added, “It is an honor not only to have Paul as the leader of Centurion & Supreme but also as a friend. Well deserved, Paul.”
