LITTLE MOUNTAIN, SC (May 3, 2017) — Pleasurecraft Engine Group, the leader in inboard marine propulsion, is partnering with Stowe Technologies, the leader in gasoline/diesel dynamometer infrastructure, to develop and build a state-of-the-art dynamometer laboratory at the Pleasurecraft World Headquarters in South Carolina.

Pleasurecraft Engine Group chose Stowe Technologies because of their expertise and long-standing exemplary reputation in dynamometer infrastructures. Stowe Technologies has worked with several premier clients including Richard Childress Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, and the Nascar Research and Development Center.

The new dynamometer lab will be custom engineered for marine specific applications and will include two dynamometer cells, complete with the latest in engine testing and validation technology. This technology will give the engineers at Pleasurecraft a more advanced platform to design, develop, and validate new engines.

Over the years, Pleasurecraft has introduced numerous innovative technologies to the inboard industry, such as their patented CATANIUM® Clean Emission System (CES), patented Fuel Control Cell® (FCC), Vortex Cooling System, and their Power Plus® Transmissions and V-Drive. This new facility will provide the framework for Pleasurecraft to continue to position itself on the cutting edge of inboard technology.

Pleasurecraft President Mark McKinney stated, “We are excited to partner with Stowe Technologies to build this dynamometer facility. Their expertise, combined with the knowledge of our engineers, is key in creating a world class facility that is designed and built to our specific marine engine needs.”
