The 2017 WWSC will be held September 21st through the 23rd downtown on the Okanagan waterfront in Kelowna, BC, Canada. Hosted by local Centurion Boats dealer Wizard Lake Marine, the World Wake Surfing Championship will showcase the World’s best surfing as well as offer an exclusive VIP experience for present and potential Centurion boat owners. Right now past, current and aspiring champions from all over are traveling to World Series of Wake Surfing events to earn a CWSA (Competitive Wake Surf Association) ranking that qualifies them for wake surfing’s equivalent to the Olympic Games, the Centurion World Wake Surfing Championship. In its 22nd year, the Centurion World Wake Surfing Championship is a legendary competition among all water sports events, let alone wake surf tournaments. The Centurion World Wake Surfing Championship presented by GM Marine is going off in downtown Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada for 2017. September 21st through the 23rd the World’s best wake surfers will be turning heads in downtown Kelowna on the shores of the Okanagan Lake. The biggest thing in towed water sports is back on the scene making more waves for the 2018 model year. Just 10 months since the introduction of the Centurion Ri257 we continue to see incredible retail response to the performance, look and amenities of this 26-foot towboat. Thanks to the Opti-V Hull design this Centurion has all the advantages of a big boat in waves, wakes and ride with uniquely better handling and fuel efficiency. Why mess with success? The Centurion Ri237 already boasts the best waves, wakes and ride. Still, our engineers have found a way to improve the Ri237 by developing a completely new running surface for the 2018 model. The new Opti-V hull creates exceptional balance with engineered triangular pads on the rear corners of the hull. The side-to-side balance creates a symmetrical wakeboard wake, but because there is less resistance on this running surface the 2018 Ri237 delivers superior handling and 50% better fuel economy. The Ri237 is once again one of the official World Wake Surfing Championship towboats. In fact, after testing the Ri237 with the Opti-v hull design, the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) selected the Centurion Ri237 as their official wakeboard towboat.
