Victoria, Minnesota (December 15, 2020) – The Centurion Boats pro wakesurf team is pleased to announce the addition of Tyler Stewart. The Minnesota native has been involved in watersports for most of his life and began wake surfing in 2016. Over the past few years Tyler has become one of the most exciting young surfers on the pro wakesurf circuit. He began competing in 2018 where he finished the season in the Amateur Division winning 2nd at Nationals in Texas. In 2019 Tyler moved up to the Outlaw Division and qualified for the World Wake Surfing Championships where he won first place beating the competition by a wide margin.
The 2020 season was Tyler’s first year as a pro and he saw incredible results in his debut season. Tyler secured 1st place at nine different competitions, easily qualifying him for the World Wake Surfing Championship. At Worlds Tyler won the Pro Men’s Skim Division, topping some of the most recognizable names in the sport like Keenan Flegel and Sean Silvera. To top it all off he launched a signature wakesurf board with Kanuk Board Co and signed with Centurion Boats. Needless to say, it’s been quite the rookie year for Tyler Stewart.
When asked about joining the Centurion Boats pro team, Tyler commented, “After finishing 1st at Worlds and having a great first year in the pro division, being asked to join the Centurion pro team was an amazing way to top it all off! I couldn’t be more stoked and I am looking forward to being part of the Centurion family!”
Amy Mauzy VP of Marketing at Centurion Boats, had this to say, “We couldn’t be more excited to add Tyler to our pro team. Obviously, he’s an incredibly talented rider, but more than that he’s an incredible person. Tyler’s strong character and values make him a perfect addition to the Centurion Boats family, we know that this new partnership will help continue to build on Centurion’s reputation throughout the following season and into the future,”
